Brad Rieckhoff (Pictured with his wife Trudi and daughter Tia) was an employee of Truckers from 1987 until his untimely death in 2016. Brad was a long-time underwriting team lead for Truckers and did a fine job producing business for many years. More importantly, he was a friend to all and took great effort in developing close relationships with his agents. Brad would take extra time to swap vacation stories, ask about an agent’s kids or spouse, share advice on parenthood or photography, and ultimately create space to make those around him feel like they were truly important to him. They were business relationships, but they felt a little more like friendships when Brad was on the other end of the phone.

Agents valued Brad’s care, wisdom and experience in addition to his fast quotes and quick calls back. These values are what Truckers strives to do every day, not just because service is good for the bottom line, but because it is the right thing to do. For this reason, we’ve created the Brad Rieckhoff Outstanding Service Award to be awarded annually to an individual who exemplifies these incredibly important characteristics and who carry on a legacy of building relationships with their agents.
